I mind, in 1975, I used to clean the front windows of John Scott and Miller. I put prices on the labels, in green ink, 15 per cent VAT in them days!

On things like shallots and onions.

Then I'd spend my money on a 7 inch singles at Eric Kemp's. Still have most of them singles. A part of me is kind of there, among the, Oh Heavens, I am still here bit!

I am so sad that they are closing down. Top Kirkwall folk, top local folk.

Bought many music cassettes here in the 70s and 80s. Iron Maiden, REO Speedwagon, even Status Quo.

Eric - It's not before time M8 (enjoy your retirement) and be sure to spend all that hard earned cash!! Both my wife and I will miss our wee blethers wae yea!

Got my 1st iron maiden lps there in 1981, turned out I followed them all around the world seeing them live, thanks to Kemps
