If the wheelhouse was built in 1925 this must be afore that- wonder just how early this is.

Seems to have been a lot more depth of water on the east side of the pier at this time than there is to day. There is no way a vessel of the size of the then Hoy Head would berth here today, and it appears to be about half tide .

I grabbed a lot oot o that area to deepen it in 64 when I was on Murray's crane, we were doin the pier up at the time............

Judging by the apparel that the lady on the pier is wearing, I would say that the photograph must be well before 1930.
The " Hoy Head" has an open bridge in the picture. Did someone point out in another thread that the enclosed bridge was fitted in 1925?.

Looks a bit like the lady in the Cava picture. Hat wise anyway
