This is Michael Baikie one of the road cleaning lads who do such a good job keeping the streets and pavements clean in all weathers.

Yes, we must not take these lads for granted. They do a good job, and get very little public appreciation.

He smiles a lot actually. If everyone smiled at him he might smile back. Mostly he and his workmates go about their jobs totally ignored by the public who forget what a good job these lads do out in all weathers. I always get a smile and bit of chat from him in the passing.

Its a pity they wouldn't come around our way a bit more and sweep up the endless brocken glass we seem to get.............
By the way the smile bit was a joke, he's my cousin and I know fine well what he is like ( actually !!! )
