Parleaf took part in the Falklands operation. I seem to remember somebody in Orkney telling me they had a relation serving on her.

As a Customs Officer at that time - probably 1974 - I remember boarding the 'Pearleaf' in Scapa Flow, prior to her being berthed on the Golden Wharf. It was a very foggy morning and the pilotage was undertaken by Captain Billy Sinclair, Harbour Master, Kirkwall - prior to the days of Orkney Harbours Pilotage.
