Some day they could be toaster's or even razor blade's. Mmmm we could be shaving with a Lada and making toast with a transit :)

Scrap value has gone up a fair bit in the last few weeks. These are worth about £200 each.

I've often wondered where Orcadian vehicles go once they've reached the end of their useful lives.
It was my understanding that they were loaded onto a boat and sent to mainland Scotland for disposal, but I see that there is actually a breaker's yard somewhere on the Isles. Any idea as to the location of this place?
For enthusiasts of locally-registered vehicles, I can make out the plates of 3 vehicles: "K23 YBS" (a red Vauxhall Astra Mk 3). Sitting on top of the Astra is "K38 YBS" (a silver Ford Escort); whilst to the right of the Lada is "C452 RBS" (a red Ford Sierra).
