This is what greets visitors to Orkney at the old tourist office on Broad Street. Fine if you can read and understand English??? Also fine if you can see the round building at the other end of Castle Street as it does not look very round at a first glance. I have been stopped many, many, times by tourists of all nationalities this year asking [some could not speak or read English] where the tourist office is as they do not understand this message on the door. Something needs to be doen to make things a lot clearer - like a map of the immediate area and a picture of the new building? See my other photo of the view from this door if you follow the instructions on the notice.

I have just noticed that the sign appears to be fixed to that lovely wooden door with drawing pins!!!! Is that building not a listed building or something like that?

You would think no one has invented the pointing arrow sign, may have to sit down and get my pens out.
