Swallowed by the sea

When I saw Allan's picture #13069 of the Ross Puma, I thought this could be the same trawler but no! Any ideas please. Not at all sure of the date. It's sad to see a boat being swallowed up by the sea. There must be a story behind it. I do hope the crew were saved.

Norwegian Whaler Possibly the Yerv or Jerv ???
Added by Eddie Fraser on 28 July 2008
Eddie's comments seem to be the same as the archives. Small wooden Norwegian whaler JERV went aground on the Kirk rocks roughly 23rd April 1965 and sank. The crew took to the life raft and made it ashore below the kirk yard. The JERV soon broke up when the heavy swell pounded her to pieces. She had just been fitted with a new engine shortly before the grounding.
