Recreation area

The recreation area bounded by Scapa Crescent, New Scapa Road, and the Holm Branch, ready for grass seed. I wonder how long it will be before this srea becomes housing?

Comments:
Ah but is it used for the said recreation purpose, or would it be better covered in houses? I would say the green space is nice when you come down the Holm Branch Road, makes you feel that it is still the country.

shame you can't walk your dog on it, nobody else uses it cos its always boggy

It would've been grand to have had it drained properly and had a proper playpark area for the kids. That's something that is lacking in Kirkwall.
