My recently acquired 1:250 model of Eastern Prince in troop-ship guise compared with a 5 times larger Builders' Model of an almost identical sister Northern Prince (which recently changed hands for $37,820). Obviously the larger model outclasses my model, but Eastern Prince doesn't come out of it too badly - unhelped by my rough treatment of its backdrop.
My mother's brother Charlie Smith (or Capt Charles Somerville Smith OBE to give him his full moniker) was her Master in WW2 trooping days.
