Burroughs' Sabretache

The front of the Sabretache which Burroughs wore while he was with the Orkney Vol. Art. This would have been the undress version of the sabretache. The full dress version of these pouches were normally embroidered in Silver for the volunteer units and in gilt or gold for the regular units. They were worn both by the cavalry and mounted officers and men of the RHA.
