I love seeing your old photos John. I remember being at that same spot as a peedie bairn and Flora Dunnet was in a pram with a broken leg after getting knocked over by I think it was a dog. That field at the back was used for a football match that night if I remember right. I must save this photo and put it on my facebook page so that my relations can see it and maybe help to identify themselves.

I would say by the age of John in the pram Steven it must be the Summer of 1951, He was born the August before me.

Steve McFadyen was an all round entertainer, he was the jolly host at Eric & Ian's birthday parties. He was a Magician,Tap Dancer and comedian.

Sounds like you were a bit of a fan of Steve McFadyen, Stewart. I never knew him, but I've always said that when I rule the world tap-dancing instruction will be compulsory in all schools, as the 'core' subject it clearly is. Well, I'll never get to rule the world now, and just look at the mess it's in. There simply weren't enough Mr McFadyens to go round.

You're right there John and Stewart, right fine folk. I used to go and do Chrissie's hair for her, she was so full of fun and mind being in her house when some of you were there one night and Ericey playing his red guitar, what a super time it was back then. "Memory is a loving thing it can never be spent, never be lent and never be taken away"

I must have forgot to put my name as it's just my email showing. Used to go and do Cythia's hair as well and then old Wilson and his wife would babysit so that Bill, Cythia and myself could go a run to the club. I liked listening to Wilson's stories when we got back.

Oh what a welcome house Steve and Chrissie had, do you mind Stewart how we used tae be there till all hours o the night.
One o their "neebours" would sit all night even Steve got fed up wae her, so one night he said tae Chrissie "I will get rid o Mabel the night"!!.
Comming on tae midnight and Mabel sitting tight Steve says "Well I must have a s***t and took the peat bucket to the middle o the room dropped his trousers and sat on the bucket "Oh Steve you dirty b***er says Mabel" but she sat on!! so Steve had tae get up and pull up his breeks and jist wait for Mabel tae go when she was good and ready!!.
The deed had little effect on the visitor!! .
What fun wae did have in them days.
