A Tom Kent picture from 1931, showing the then brand new roof over number 7, which is being modified just now to prevent overheating in the summer, believe it or not.
I like the idea of the houses having numbers, and the guys down the quarry saying 'That's some flat slabs for number 7 Skara Brae, they're making a kitchen dresser. Put them in the post, it's KW16 3LR'.
