'[This] photo is an old one taken in Stromness but what the group are is
unknown. My great uncle, William Harcus [a butcher in Stromness] is 2nd from the right in the front row. Could this be a group of local traders or some traders association?'
Date is a wild guess.

From various people's suggestions it appears that this is a pic of the Independent Order of Good Templars and possibly in Kirkwall? Still interested in any names for the people.
