These slabs, stored in Orkney Builder's yard at Hatston, came out of the old mortuary at the Balfour Hospital. I wonder whose patio they are now?

Sad to say I helped to lay many a body on them during my time at the Balfour. 1962-'95.

These slabs are still in daily use, not for bodies any longer though!
