This whalebone arch above Finstown was described in Issue No. 57 of Orkney View magazine as, "the most Northerly surviving whalebone arch in the British Isles".

There are whale bones in a garden at the bottom of the Grimness Road in South Ronaldsay, just after no 4 barrier
