Ready for the water

This is a picture of the Stromness fishing boat Crest Just before her launch. She has been up for a re-furbish which included many new ribs, which were fitted by her owner Mr J Laughton, and Jim Meason.
Picture added on 17 July 2007
Comments:
This boat was built in the mid sixties for Sydney Taylor from Longhope then Billy Budge owned her for a time before Mike Flett of Stromness bought her then selling her to the present owner Joe Laughton who has done a lot of work on her to make her look as good as can be seen in the photograph.

Hello all, a great picture but I'd like to correct the spelling of my father's name, it is 'Jim Mason.'
Added by Stuart Mason on 19 December 2007
John- Nicholas Hare owned the Quest for a short while before Michael Flett.
I remember Sydney collected her from Pia's in April 1967.
