This is the St Ola on route from Stromness, Orkney to Scrabster, passing the island of Graemsay and approaching St John's Head, on the island of Hoy.

The Ferry St Ola proceeding West into Hoy Sound, Orkney. The high hills in the background are on Hoy, and the Lighthouse (called- Hoy Low) is on Graemsay.

Did you have a relation called Tom Hoy? He came from America many years ago looking for his family in Orkney. He stayed with us for quite a while before returning home. As far as we know he died shortly after this.
