Kirkwall Harbour in 1950s. 4 of 6. An interesting picture with all the fishing boats, but does anyone know where the fishing boat code SF /SV come from.

it was quite common for Scandinavian fishing boats to visit Kirkwall at that time so that may answer your question.

I think these are whalers/sharkers from Norway.
