Hi, my name is Gordon Bruce and tracing my family history. Mary Jane matches has come up as my 5th cousin once removed in law.
If this is the same person, she was born 28 Feb 1884 in kirkwall. She married Alexander lamb and had 2 children - Mary Alice Lamb and Susan Gertrude Lamb.
She died south Ronaldsay 18th June 1921

Yes, that's her, although I have Matches Square, JUnction Road in Kirkwall as the place of death (on her death certificate). If she is a relative by marriage and you are related to the Lamb family you might be interested in my "Ali's tree" (on ancestry) where you can find some of the Lambs. best regards, Nancy
