Agent - Andrew Stewart May 1888 - August 1903. Accepted Kirkwall Agency 1903 & left Kirkwall in 1911 for Lanark Agency.

as one of Stromness's most prominent buildings I'm pleased to see (after a very long wait) it is now (Oct 2013) receiving some TLC from present owners Orkney Is. Council. Hope the RBS follow suit and take care of their badly neglected Stromness branch!

When did this building become The Town House? My Uncle Oliver Tait and family lived there in the top flat during the 1970s.
