DSP badge mystery solved!

Karl Cooper's much appreciated help with the Eastern Prince mystery has shone unexpected light on picture #26134, posted in Feb 2012 and copied here on the right. Karl drew my attention to a website relating to the repatriation of Polish soldiers from Britain post WW2, which included the pic shown here on the left.

This man is debarking from MS Eastern Prince at Gdansk on a date during my uncle Charlie Smith's time as the vessel's Master. No doubt one of the repatriates gave him a cap-badge as a memento.

DSP translates as Rifle Infantry Division (of the Free Polish Army in Britain.)
