I wonder if any of these boats will be taking part in the National Snipe Championships being held in Orkney in August (2nd - 4th) this year.

I think most of Orkney's wooden Snipes have been used up at bonfire night, sent to boat heaven in a ball of flame. There are still a few old ones around though, the last one I've seen sailing was Freddie Johnstone's Fleetwing (of Holm), but that was a couple of years back.
