Red Grootendorst rose. Finstown, sheltered situation. 11/8/12. Red Grootendorst is a hybrid rugosa, and as vigorous and healthy as the rest of the breed, producing clusters of red flowers all season. The flowers are unusual, in that the petals are frilled, like a carnation's. No scent or hips.
