Stockdales at Rackwick ca 1990

Following on from Ron Birnie's comment on image #21222, here's Group Captain George Stockdale RAF (Ret'd) on the right with his wife Ann on the left. The others are my wife Hannah and a rather well-known denizen of Rackwick, Davy 'Hutch' Hutchison. The end of Hutch's abode, Cliff Cottage, is on the right. A handsome gift from Hutch (half-a-dozen duck eggs) is gently cradled in George's huge hands. Weather obviously not perfect that day but better on others and Ann and I managed a bit of hill walking. George had recently had a surgical revision of a total hip-replacement (and was on chemotherapy for leukaemia) so, uncharacteristically, had to avoid the rough stuff.
Hope this revives memories Ron.
