Geramont, Sanday.
this is "below stairs" - presumably servant's level. Standing on about 3 feet of guano & earth. the top of a "Welstood" type range can just be seen, but what about the square feature (that seems to have been plastered over)?
there is a bit of wood too that I suppose held a bell system or something electrical?
