Though I've seen flocks of Red-breasted Merganser drakes 'in the flesh' I don't think I ever saw a dozen in one photo, Betty. May I add my compliments to others you've been getting (deservedly!) of late. Unfortunately, the smattering of pixels OIL can rise to doesn't do you full justice. Would it be out of the question for you to email me a copy of this pic at reasonably high resolution - a meg or more? I promise not to infringe your copyright! With thanks in anticipation . . .

Don't know why I let 'drakes' creep into my last comment; a combination of ignorance and carelessness I suppose. Those in the pic won't all be males. Nevertheless, here's hoping you'll still email me Betty!
