Melsetter School, Hoy

Photo in the Orcadian this week.
Was told that it is Willie Simpson from Upper Setter at the front on the left. (Born 1928 Died April 1989)

I do not think that there was a Melsetter school. This would be the North Walls school situated in the same place as today.

Could it be Brims School, Fred, but you would maybe know the kids. the windows look rightish.

It is North Walls school. I have no recollection of the photo being taken but since I am in it I must have been there!!!!!!. I have a copy of the photo with names for all bar the lad 2nd left in the front row.

This is not the Brims School,and going by the address given by the sender, I woud say North Walls. Both schools came under the Melsetter Post Office area.

Yes, North Walls School windows. These windows have recently been replaced in the latest upgrade of the Gable End Theatre which is housed in this part of the old NW school buildings. I'd be interested to know who some of these children are - before my time but there are faces familiar to me so I wonder if I'm correct?
