This photograph is on board Jamm Groundwater's boat on a trip to Swona, to look at a ship stranded on the Isle, taken late 40s or early 50s.

From where I'm sitting, in the south of England, I can't tell whether you are stupid or not John, but I doubt it. As for your head being full of the queerest stuff, I for one am glad as you always manage to put a smile on my face and I'm sure on most other folks as well.

Jame and my father (Walter Ross) used to go to the fishing a fair bit. We are still rather in awe of their trip from North Ness across to Swona, returning via the Barth Head in South Ronaldsay, all in a 12 foot boat (the one pictured above?). Jame certainly knew the tides.
