Another Hoy Drama Production 1950s.
Issac Moar-Mary Ritch-Mr Turnbull- was Mr Turnbull a teacher in Hoy?.
They seem to have taken on there parts very well and look as though they are from a a classic film set!.
Mary looks wonderfull, this would have been around the time she won the title "The Lady with the Lamp" for saving the crew from the wrecked trawler "Lecester City".
Anyone remember the show?.

I'm sure Mr Turnbull was a teacher, but seeing your other pic makes me wonder if Mrs Inkster was still teaching in Hoy School then, because when I started school in 1945 she was teaching at North Walls, but maybe they all still got together in 1950 era for the drama stuff .....

Isaac never changed but I would not have recognised Mary. The name Turnbull rings a bell but can't remember what he did. Lady Skrene would likely have done their makeup. Hardly any of the older folks o' the island left now to keep us right on them things.

Thank you Beryl. I was in my teens when she died. She was a good friend of ours (mum and dad that is) but we have no photos of her.

Hi Mr Turnbull my Grandfather was the teacher in Hoy. He also taught in Evie and my mother and her family lived there too. He was known as Frank.
