Old Orcadia at the Hoy pier

Here we see the old "Orcadia" at the Hoy pier on the 22nd June 1950.
Isaac Moar's van is on the pier. I think the flit boat is at the steps to take passengers to the Ferry as it is very low water and she is unable to get into the steps.
Is someens washin hingan oot tae dry on her!!.

I notice she has a car on deck rigged for landing.. wonder was it for Hoy , wouldn't think she would leave it on the derrick on passage.. or did they back then.. maybe fine day , it will save time later attitude. I also remember she used Rinnigal pier for the north side in them days.....
