Wow! What a surprise finding this photo - my mother (Hilda Torrance) is in it. Are any of the above class still living in Orkney? If so, I am bringing mum up in April 2014 to revisit her favourite childhood place - she has never been back to Orkney since leaving there when she was 12 as her father, Tommy Torrance, was posted down to Portsmouth serving H M Coastguard. Please do get in touch :)
