Trawler lost on Torness

I think this is one is nearer home and maby I have already put her on before, is hid ane o the trawlers lost on Torness?.
Seem tae mind that flag on the funnel fae a time afore.

I would say it was the Hull trawler "Dorbie"
The Strathcoe was lost at the Geo of the Lame

Anchor chain still in the Kirn. Bits of the bow were still there in the 80's

Believed to be the Aberdeen steam trawler STRATHALFORD A50 that was lost in Wick bay when she went ashore 30th April 1940 Sadly some of the crew members lost their lives in the incident.

Further info, She belonged to Aberdeen Steam Trawling and Fishing Co Two White bands on a black funnel.

This is the Aberdeen trawler A50 Strathalford skipper John Wood ran aground 1940 with the loss of 3 of the crew skipper survived.

Hi, the vessel is the Strathalford A50. The Skipper was my Grandfather born Cellardyke 1888-died in Aberdeen 1960.
