Sunlit sails. A couple of long shots from my bedroom window 17 July 2011.

Thank you Isobel for your kind exclamation-marks, though any beauty in the pics is of course that of the ship and the sunlight.
She's the barque Europa, I probably should have said before. In the short interval between the left and right-hand shots she has got her jibs and mizzen sails up. I was struck by the speed with which she handled her sails. Is it all done with electric motors nowadays? There never seemed to be anybody aloft.

I was disappointed never to have seen any of the ships with their sails up.
