Hi Colin - what a terrific photograph of Grandad and Granny Burghes. Would it be possible for you to e-mail me a copy so I could print it? I only have one picture of Granny Burghes taken with Grandad and Andrew and Jim when they were little.
Let me know if you are able to do this - you can get my e-mail address as described by Steven. Thanks,Colin. Hope you are well - please give Thelma my love.

Thanks Colin - I will e-mail you direct with details. In the meantime I have been able to "save" the photograph and have printed it off as a nice 8x10 copy. I'm smarter than I thought!! Did you see the photo' I sent in which was posted today? It was taken a few years later.
Thanks again Colin, I love all the Stronsay postings.

Barbara Burgess, nee Matches was my grandmother Mary Ann Mckenzis, nee Williamson's cousin.

Not the Barbara in this photograph,Sheila. Your grandmother,Barbara Burghes (nee Matches) was actually my aunt. She was married to my Uncle Andrew, that's the little boy sitting on my grandmother's knee!! There were several "Barbaras" in our family, all very confusing!
