Isabella Cobban Cusiter nee Smith and youngest son Robert Irvine 1885. Isabella was the eldest daughter of Alexander Smith, the Congregational minister at Rendall from 1842 to 1870. She became a teacher but married Peter Cusiter or Cursiter in Kirkwall at the age of 25 in 1864 and they had five children at Quoydandy, a farm on the Inganess Road. Robert was born in 1878, a year before his father died. Robert died at the age of 18 from a perforated appendix.
