The Back Road in the 'Hup as it used to be

A fine photo of the Back Road in the 'Hup as it used to be. The man travelling the staig was possibly from Shapinsay, said to be Jimmy Irvine. Can anyone confirm this?

Herbert great photo, whithout disrespect to Mr Irvine seen here in your photgraph I am about to make a humorous observation.
It used to be well said that the "Staigie Men" as the likes of Mr Irvine were known throughout Scotland sired as meany bairns as there stalions sired foals !!.
In your photo of Mr Irvine there are quite a lot o bairns and the thought came tae me "Ill dreedan mind" of the stories that were told regarding the "Staigie Men"!!!.
