This would have been Jeannie and Alice Nicholson's father. Dont remember him but do mind the two daughters, they lived in West End untill around 1970s, They came as a pair by that I mean they thought and spoke as one if one said it was a "cowld" day the other said it was a "cowld" day a lot of people used to be like that around here especialy spinster sisters or brothers who had always lived together from childhood.

I think the above Sinclair Nicolson's family would have been one of the crofters who were "Cleared" from ther original croft in Brabister by Heddle the Laird before 1860. There were a lot of Clearances" here on Hoy as was commonplace in the Highlands,but there is another tale to tell another time.

Sure I went to visit Jeannie when I was peedie, but don't mind on much about it.
