Jimmy Moar and Osmund Johanson

This photograph was loaned to me by Jimmy Moar, seen here on the right, and is at the home of the now late Osmund Johanson, of Grimsby. Osmund was skipper of the Leicester City, wrecked on Hoy and well documented here on this web site.

Osmund's family still keep in touch with folks on Hoy who were involved in the rescue so long ago.

Comments:
The date of this Meeting with Osmund Johanson was 31st May 1989. Osmund was badly hurt by the pounding that he had on the rocks that night and only survived as he was wearing a heavy flying jacket.
