Watching the ships go by.

For those who haven’t already tried this program, then here’s the link: http://www.shipais.com It will take you to the AIS site where you can watch live movements of shipping. Move your mouse around on the opening map until the box Orkney Mainland pops up, click on that and see all the shipping in Orkney waters and Scrabster.
Click on any of the ships symbols to come up with details of the vessels name / location / speed & direction / cargo etc.

Have your VHF scanner / radio and a tot of rum to hand!
