Longhope Lifeboat Station

Further to Jimmy Hamiltons picture #17246, I came across this picture dated 1906, the year the shed was built. Inside the shed is the 'Anne Miles' the first lifeboat to be launched from this shed.
(Story in the Longhope Lifeboat site.)

Comments:
I also have a postcard of this photo - perhaps they were issued to commemorate the opening of the shed. It belonged to my grandfather Benjamin Smith from Hurliness who came to Australia that same year.
