Peace Family

Thomas and Thomasina Peace and some of their family. I don't know any of the boys, but the taller girl was my great grandmother, Margaret, who married John Johnston and died in 1980, and the smaller girl was Elizabeth, whom I also remember. This is the same family that is in Ian Cameron's photo number 19334.

Comments:
What a surprise photo, yes I remember "just" Great Aunt Maggie, and also remember clearly in 1969 Great Aunt Lizzie. My Grandfather James William Peace is Thomas Peace`s son, not sure if he is in the photo?
Thanks Danny look forward to the next one

Thanks for putting on this photo of my great grand parents which I have never seen before. Thomas & Thomasina's family were as far as know. Peter (who went to Falkirk) James William ( my grandfather who went to Whitburn) Mary (went to Falkirk) They are not in this photo. In the photo (by age) are Thomas, John, Alex, Margaret Jane, David, Adam (died young) Elizabeth Ann. The other two, Jessie and a boy (died very young) Most of the family lived at Longhouse & Westbank, St. Ola.

As i have written to other people on this site, I will be brief yet again,
A while ago I aquired some old letters from 1866, all addressed to Anne Peace. A letter from Annes Sister, from Kirkwall, Feb 3rd 1866 talks of a number of Rendalls. I'd appriciate it if you had any information on your ancestory or maybe even the Peace family. I would really appreciate the help. (I'll explain if you choose to get in contact)
Thankyou.
Lucy Nield.

I have inherited an unknown photograph of a young couple taken by Sinclair, Kirkwall, about 1900. What a surprise - I find he is in this Peace family photograph, centre back row, wearing the exact same clothes! From the comments above I’m thinking he is either Thomas or John? Next mystery is to find out what his connection is to my g.grandfather John GT Pottinger who had the photograph. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will also upload my photograph.
