I remember as a schoolboy when we stayed at waterhall, the house next to us was feastown. annie shearer and her niece anna jackson stayed there. it was during the war years and i remember a tommy shearer there he was in naval uniform and must have been on leave.

Peter's parents were Peter Shearer and Catherine [Kitty] Brown. His grandparents Were Peter Shearer and Barbara Cock. His great grandparents were George Shearer and Helen Miller. His great great grandparents were Peter Shearer and Margaret Laughton, all from Stronsay.

Hi Irene Norman Shearer jnr here, great pictures. Peter's grandparents were Peter and Elizabeth Flett. She died in 1853 possibly giving birth to Georgina and then he married Barbara Cock in 1854 and Barbara had twins who died at birth in 1855.

Is there any relation to the Shearers that moved to New Jersey U.S.A. from the Orkneys?

In doing my research on my ancestor Peter Storms, I ran across a Peter Storms Shearer, who was the Executive Officer on the USS Pictor (AF 54) in June 1964. Anyone have info on this man?
