This cannon stands guard over the farmhouse at Ingsay. A visiting HSE inspector once asked "has it been fired?"
"Yes replied my Father"
"When?"
"Last time an HSE inspector was here"
Funilly enough he never came back!
This gun used to stand in an (almost) equally important place. Can anyone identify it?

This cannon used to sit on the Market Green in front of the cathedral. You can see it there by going to Orkney Archives and choosing the Tom Kent images.
