Temporary linkspan for St Ola at Stromness

UNSURE EXACT YEAR THIS PIC WAS TAKEN. THE TEMPORARY LINKSPAN WAS PUT IN PLACE WHILE WORK WAS BEING CARRIED OUT ON THE NEW LINKSPAN FOR HAMNAVOE
Picture added on 25 November 2006
Comments:
I think Iain is correct with 2001. This temporary link span was borrowed, or maybe even hired, from Invergordon, and is the landing the MV Contender used when she provided an excellent daily service between Invergordon and Kirkwall.

Year was actually 2002 from about July onwards. The crane barge in the background was fitting the new linkspan which was probably about the end of August.
