Gosh, this takes me back so many years. I know nearly all of these people in happier times when I came to Stronsay with my mother Ella Chalmers who had been born and lived in the Storehouse Stronsay with her family. I knew so many people and have so many distant relatives in the Orkneys and abroad and feel sad that I was never able to have or maintain any contact with them. I have so many old pictures which my mother used to tell me who was who, but would love to clearly know this and have been trying to contact various people from Stronsay over the years and would love to hear from anyone who can remember Maggie and Jessie at the Storehouse which was demolished after Maggies death in 1977. I have just read about Gary Swanneys death and am trying to contact Drewie his brother who I understand lives in New Zealand. I currently live in France but would love to hear from anyone who can remember me from years ago.i.e Charlie and Frieda Devin--Carwin nee Cooper whose mother was Carrie my mother's close friend etc..
