I thought I read somewhere that the whalebone was flattened in a storm in 2008. Pleased to see that's not the case. The Scotties are lovely---used to have one a few years ago.

The Whale Bone was blown down and damaged in a storm on the 25th. Jan. 2008.
It was repaired by members of the Birsay Heritage Trust and resited 2 metres back from the edge of the cliff on the 22nd. May 2008.
