Woolies Closing Down Sale, Saturday 14th December 2008.
Can there have been a better loved Woolies in Britain than Kirkwall's?
When my wife applied for a job the information pack from the OIC had stuff to attract people to come to Orkney to work, and in that was a statement along the lines that 'Kirkwall has perhaps the best Woolies store'.
True enough. It's very sad, and my heart goes out to the staff, and the distraught kids with no toy shop to visit.
I've created a Woolies group to bring together all the Woolies pictures.
I've also accidentally created a Woolies album but that will be deleted, so don't look there.
