Defo grumpy contributer as Orcadian weren't to publish only verify with RSPB, now daytime sleep while on night shift is a nightmare. Suggestions so far - Eagle, European Scops and long eared - Your comment is most appropriate so far

Seems no-one confirmed this as a Long-eared Owl.
