Comments:
Can any one give me information as to the parents of George. My Sinclair's came from South Ronaldsay. I am in the process of collecting information on as many Sinclair families as I can as I am sure we are all connected in one way or another. It will be a little while before the site is open to everyone, but any one who provides information will be given a link to have a sneaky peek.

This photo is an altered copy of the original which appeared in The Orkney Herald on Tuesday 20th March 1951. The original included Mr Omand's horse and cart and didn't have any boats in the background.
George Sinclair was born in Wick. His parents were George Sinclair and Christina Harper. He moved from Wick to St Margaret's Hope a few years after 1914, which was the year his youngest son (my father) was born, also in Wick.

Here is something interesting.
John Omand's great grandson- William Symison married Isabella Sinclair. I wonder if Isabella was related to George Sinclair? (Her mother Jane Symison (nee Omand) was from South Ronaldsay.
