Plane at Berstane Farm 1938

Tom Scott writes:
Looking at Archives picture No.29 of Capt Fresson's Gipsy Moth reminded me that I had photos of the first plane in commercial service to Orkney. I took these photos in 1938 when the D H Dragon 7-seater aircraft used a field at Berstane Farm. My interest on that occasion was to photograph a flight of seven Hawker Hectors of the Edinburgh University Squadron which was visiting the field on that day.

Unfortunately all the photos of the Hectors were lost during the war. The pictures are very poor quality being scanned from 6x9cm contact prints taken on a very old (at that time) folding Kodak Brownie.
